Privacy and local data
Knowing where your data lives is part of staying organized.
Most personal records in KIVIFY stay in the app's private storage on your phone. You can get started without providing your name, email address or phone number. Some optional features use the internet: understanding that distinction is more useful than a promise that nothing ever leaves the device.

What local-first means in this app
In KIVIFY, habits, tasks, personal finances, fasting logs and other main records are stored on the device. Personal use does not require an account. This does not mean that every feature works without internet access or that all services run locally.
| Use | What happens to the data |
|---|---|
| Personal records | Stored in the app's private storage on the phone. |
| An AI request | The content and context needed to generate the response are sent for processing. |
| Community and shared challenges | What you share is stored by the service and visible to the relevant members. |
| Health Connect | Optional, permission-based reading. Its data stays on the phone, as described in the current policy. |

AI and Health Connect are different data flows
Health Connect is an optional, read-only integration. KIVIFY uses authorized types to display activity and add context to planning. You can manage permissions in Health Connect.
When you request AI assistance, profile information needed for that feature may be sent, such as dietary preferences, age, height or weight. The policy distinguishes those profile fields from records read through Health Connect. It would be inaccurate to group both under a blanket promise that everything stays local.
Budgeting without a bank connection
The budget does not require bank credentials or a live connection to your bank. Records come from what you enter and the files you choose to import.
The file type matters too: CSV rows are read on your phone, while a PDF sent for transcription uses AI. Check the source and the result before confirming transactions.
Sharing, retention and deletion
Enabling Community, sharing an audio clip or attaching an image to a support request can send information outside the phone. Some shared links are public to anyone who has their address. Review a file's contents before sending it.
Resetting local data and removing remote content are different operations. The policy explains retention, external services and how to request help removing shared content. It also states that data is not sold or used for advertising.
Frequently asked questions
Does the whole app work without internet access?
No. The main records are local, but AI, Community, external searches and other services need a connection.
Does deleting the app remove everything I shared?
Do not assume so. Removing phone data is not the same as removing publications or remote records; consult the privacy policy's procedures.
Where can I read the full details?
The Privacy link in the footer opens the published policy with data types, services, permissions and contact details. This explanation does not replace that policy.
